The short version
YT Finance does not use third-party cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. We don't fingerprint your device. The only persistent storage we rely on lives in your own browser.
What we actually store
We use your browser's localStorage (not cookies) to hold a small session blob: which workspace you signed into, your role (borrower, lender or admin), and your in-progress application state. This is what lets you reload the page without losing your place.
This data:
- Lives only on your device.
- Is never sent to a third party.
- Is cleared the moment you sign out, or whenever you clear browser storage manually.
Essential cookies
Where strictly-necessary cookies are required (for example, payment redirects through Flutterwave Checkout) they are set by that third-party provider on its own domain, only at the moment you initiate a payment. Their use is governed by Flutterwave's own policies. We do not set marketing cookies on the YT Finance domain.
Analytics
If we add product analytics in future, we will use a privacy-respecting, IP-anonymised tool, list it on this page first, and provide an opt-out. We will not silently bolt on Google Analytics or any tracker without telling you.
Opting out
- To clear all locally-stored YT Finance data, open your browser's site-data settings and remove storage for this domain, or simply sign out.
- To block cookies entirely, use your browser's privacy settings. The app will still work; you will simply be signed out on the next reload.
